“The
Electronic Board Meeting software allows our administrative
staff to prepare the board agenda in a totally digital, interactive
environment. Our board of trustees is now able to fully participate
in their meetings by having all of the documents, including
media-rich presentations, available to them for individual viewing
on their network connected laptops. The latest revisions to
supporting documentation are available to each board member
as they log on to our network from their home or workplace right
up to the moment they sit down at the board table for the meeting.
The easy, point and click environment, plus support for Office
and Internet-based applications make using the software a successful
experience without intensive training.”

(National School Boards Association) is saying....
“Some board members contend that electronic communications will become the norm as more and more districts begin supplying their boards with technology, especially laptop computers. Board members will soon prepare for upcoming meetings by accessing information through networks rather than digging through stacks of paper.
The school board in Plano, Texas is a good example. They use school board meeting agenda software developed by Cognitive Systems Technologies (CST), to make their meetings better and more engaging to the public by taking advantage of the benefits technology offers. The CST electronic board meeting software allows administrative staff and board members to set up meeting agendas, conduct meetings, archive meetings, and link documents to agenda items in a paperless context. Because school boards will, out of necessity, embrace technology to increase efficiency and effectiveness, resources like the one used in Plano are likely to become more common in the future.
